About
Hi, I'm Charles.
By day, I'm an IT manager running network, hardware, and cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure for a small portfolio of businesses — the kind of job where you're the network admin, the cloud engineer, and the help desk all at once.
Outside of that, I run my own home lab, build self-hosted alternatives to services I'd rather not hand my data to, and spend an unreasonable amount of time on privacy technology and cryptocurrency self-custody. I'm also finishing a B.S. in Computer Science.
Airgap Consulting is that experience made available directly to you — no account managers, no juniors doing the actual work. Just me.

Do you work with businesses, or just individuals?+
Both. Some projects are small-business network or cloud work, others are an individual's home network or crypto self-custody setup.
I don't have an enterprise budget — can you still help?+
Yes. Projects are scoped to what you actually need, and you get a price before anything starts.
Are you available full-time?+
This is a side practice alongside my full-time IT role, so I take on a limited number of projects at a time and I'm upfront about turnaround before we start.
Do you only do one-off projects, or ongoing support too?+
Both. Some clients need one project done right; others want an ongoing relationship for maintenance and questions.
Are you a licensed financial advisor?+
No. I don't give investment or financial advice. My crypto-related work is strictly about the technical security of your own self-custody setup.
